Colorless transparent flammable liquid with a special smell; specific gravity (relative density): 0.9687; boiling point: 156.6 °C (2Kpa); flash point: 54.4 °C; refractive index: 1.413 (25 °C). Soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene and acetone, insoluble in water and decompose into diethyl phosphite in water slowly, which accelerates in acidic aqueous solutions. |
