Properties |
Yellow or orange-red transparent viscous liquid. It is an associated product of ethylenediamine, diethylenetriamine and tetraethylenepentamine. It has an ammonia odor. It can easily absorb moisture and carbon dioxide in the air. It generates corresponding salts when mixed with acids and solidifies at low temperature. Strongly alkaline. Miscible with water, alcohol and ether. Corrosive. Boiling point: 250 °C; density: 1.070; refractive index n20 / D: 1.5120; flash point: 110 °C. |
