Uses |
Mainly used as a monomer in organic synthesis to react with formaldehyde to prepare melamine resin; it is an important heat firmware plastic and an important raw material in the paint industry. Also used in the preparation of textile anti-folded shrink-proof treatment agents, metal coatings, leather tanning agents, adhesives, waterproofing agents, crosslinking agents for waterproofing agents, etc. Also used as a standard reagent for determination of nitrogen in organic trace analysis. |

Properties |
White columnar crystals. Density: 1.573g/cm3。 Melting point: 354 °C. Slightly soluble in water, ethylene glycol, glycerol and pyridine, very slightly soluble in ethanol and insoluble in ether, benzene and carbon tetrachloride. Sublime when heated and decompose when heated violently. Lowly toxic. It is stable under normal circumstances and may decompose to release cyanides at high temperature. |
